The Sweetest Taboo
- ISBN: 0747267707
- Description:
Falling in love is never easy. Sadie Nelson ought to know - she's got two men to choose from and neither one is hassle-free. Gill McGann, a Hollywood producer has flown her to sun-soaked LA in order to win her heart. Then there's actor Tavis, who makes her feel happy and comfortable. From the Author Hi Everyone - I can't believe my seventh book is out already. Doesn't time fly when you're having fun! And this book was a lot of fun to write. I've been lucky enough to sell two of my previous novels to Hollywood (Hurrah!) - For Better, For Worse and a Minor Indiscretion. Which meant that I was able to go over to Los Angeles, swan around and call it work! I could resist using it as a great opportunity to gather material for a book. LA is a crazy place - the more I go there, the more I love it. Although the minute I get off the plane I'm convinced I need Botox. And where else could you go rollerblading on Venice Beach and insist that it's necessary research. But there's a dark side to Hollywood too - unfulfilled ambitions, the pressures of fame, the search for eternal youth. All the waiters want to be actors, all the actors want to be directors, all the writers want to be producers - no one is ever quite what they seem - and I've drawn on some of that for my novel too. It's a tough place to try to make the big time. Still the wall-to-wall sunshine puts a lovely gloss on everything and I'ved been very fortunate to have seen a tiny, weeny glimpse of that world. I hope you enjoy The Sweetest Taboo - it's funny, light-hearted and I hope it will make you smile.
