Review:
A great start to the Guards series. Introducing the wonderful characters of the Night Watch: Captain Sam Vimes, Sergeant Colon, Coporal Nobbs and the new recruit: Carrot.

Pratchett is funny, has an eye for detail and knows the fantasy so well he can take mickey out of all the weird little conventions.
