All About List Books

So what is List Books and what is it all about? Well, it's a site that allows you to advertise any books you don't want for other people to buy. It's not a sales medium as such, we don't take money and people can't pay for things directly on the site, instead, you list what ways you are willing to accept payment and you'll get an email if someone is interested in your book, then you email back to arrange payment, once that's made, you send the book.

How does it work?

For Sellers:

  1. Register for an account to begin adding your books.
  2. To add a book, simply login and type in the ISBN.
  3. The book is instantly listed on the site for people to find and buy.
  4. When someone wants to buy your book, they hit a Buy button and fill out their details and you will be sent an email from the buyer to organise the sale.
  5. When you receive the email, you just email the buyer back and explain your preferred payment method(s) and supply details of how to send payment.
  6. The buyer makes the payment via whatever channel you choose (cheque, online payment, etc)
  7. Once you're received payment, send the book and click the link in the email to tell the buyer it's been sent.
  8. When the buyer receives the book they can click the link in the email triggered by sending it to mark it received and leave feedback.

For Buyers:

  1. Search or browse the site for a book you fancy, check out the different copies available and hit the Buy button.
  2. Fill out your details and the seller will be sent an email expressing your interest.
  3. The seller will then email back to sort out the payment options.
  4. You makes the payment via whatever channel you agree with the seller (cheque, online payment, etc)
  5. Once they've received payment, the seller will send the book and click a link in the email to tell you it's been sent.
  6. When you receive the book, click the link in the email triggered when it was sent to mark it received and you'll get the option to leave feedback to help other sellers.
